Maurizio, 58, works in a metallurgical company from 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., but every morning at 5 a.m. before going to the factory, he takes care of the family barn, together with his father, Renzo, 84, and returns to it in the evening when he returns. Theirs is not a modern barn, but it still retains the structure of when it was built in the 1950s. The walls tell stories that cannot be read elsewhere.
By July 2022 Renzo begins to experience health problems that no longer allow him to continue the business. Maurizio does not relent and totally takes on the burden of keeping the tradition alive.

This is a story of stubbornness and survival. One is faced with resistance against time, against progress. This farm is the only one among the more than forty in Fagagna and neighboring municipalities to preserve itself in tradition, without the support of great technologies, but relying on rural history. It is a testimony to how we do not always want to leave the past behind since it also represents our history. It is an attempt to make it live in a world that thinks only of optimization, losing the poetry of slow rhythms.
